I was going to begin by writing in the third person about myself, saying things like "Matt Bailey is a well-known event host, radio presenter and DJ from the North East who will be an asset to your event, adding professionalism, and blah blah blah..."

But that's just not me.

So this is me. Talking about me. My name IS Matt Bailey and I AM an event host, compere, emcee, master of ceremonies, or whatever you choose to call the person at the front making sure your event runs smoothly.

I've been doing it for almost 20 years.

Charity balls, awards evenings, stadium concerts, international and local sporting occasions, UK wide running events, Christmas light switch-ons, corporate galas... I have done the lot.
I will bring a safe pair of hands, whilst adding personality and humour to keep your audience engaged and entertained. If your event involves an auction then fear not, I have hosted hundreds! One of my specialities is keeping an auction flowing in an exciting manner, and of course raising as much money as possible.

In addition I regularly advise on events beforehand, and can have major input into scripts in order to create a more polished occasion.

I spent 3 years working as an on-air producer on the breakfast show. I also launched a brand new show and achieved substantial audience growth

Metro Radio

I began my career at Metro Radio and for 6 years worked as pretty much everything! Sport Producer, Creative Producer, Night Owls Producer, Cover Presenter...you name it, I did it!

And I DJ...

You can hear me banging out the tunes across the North East, from my residency at Stack, a chill out set at Seaham Hall, the Super League magic weekend, or your private event.

Whether it’s a corporate party, or supporting Olly Murs at a packed out arena, I am also available to DJ for you. I promise no cheesy “banter” and I don’t own a copy of the birdie song*

I specialise in tailoring the music to suit your occasion, and will discuss all your needs beforehand. I also specialise in keeping the dance floor full!
